Traumatology in 1988. Head Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology of the Faculty of Medicine, University of La Laguna. Researcher of the FEU project on long-term monitoring of arthroplasties of knee and hip and of the project on sports injuries. Experience in prosthetic surgery of hip, knee and shoulder. Specialities:

  • Arthroscopic surgery of knee, shoulder and hip.
  • Arthroscopic surgery of knee, shoulder and hip.
  • Arthroscopic reconstruction of Rotator Cuff.
  • Sports surgery, reconstruction of the Anterior Cruciate Ligament, instability of shoulder, femoroacetabular impingement, meniscal suture, cartilage injuries, etc.

Training:

  • Master in Sports Injuries by the Autonomous University de Barcelona.
  • Member of the Spanish Society of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology, of the Spanish Association of Arthroscopy (AEA) and of the Spanish Knee Society.
  • Member of the National Board of Governors of the AEA.
  • International member of the AAOS (American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery).
  • Member of the Latin American Knee Society (SLARD) and of the ESSKA (European Society of Arthroscopic and Knee Surgery).

He currently holds the post of Head of Service of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology of the University Hospital of the Canary Islands.
